"Interactions in Understanding the Universe" (aka I2U2), the project I am currently working on, is looking to hire a software developer.
The job is at Fermilab, outside of Chicago.
The initial term is 3 years (the length of our new NSF grant).
I2U2 is an outgrowth of Fermilab's QuarkNet program. We are developing a collection of "e-Labs", where high school students can make use of real data from cutting-edge physics experiments such as LIGO, CMS, and ATLAS. We will also provide access to grid computing resources so that students can perform large-scale analyses using those data. The overall idea is for students to learn science by experiencing real scientific inquiry with real data. (I wish there was something like this when I was in high school!).
More information about I2U2 can be found at

Thanks in advance for helping us find someone. Now that our grant has been approved we really need the help.
