I'm trying to compile from source, but what and where is buffon.h!?

If you got the directory cube.d from CVS then also get buffon [edit] not buffon.d[/edit]. That is the compute thread, to perform a Monte Carlo simulation of Buffon's needle. It is common to several of the demo apps that follow, so it's in a separate directory.

I will note this when I clean up the release notes. Thanks for asking.

Forgive my ignorance, but how do I get it from CVS? I didn't see it anywhere in the previous links you gave me in the other thread.

I ran into one more thing.

make: *** No rule to make target `../graphics_app.C', needed by `graphics_app.C'. Stop.

I finally just went ahead and cvs'ed the whole 'src/apps' directory. Which did include the relative `../graphics_app.C' file that the Makefile was looking for.

UPDATE: I did just now get this running on powerpc64. I see a spinning cube and text floating around.

Well, something is rotten in the State of Denmark, as the French say...

One of my Windows machines does have Cube 6.03 already so it can download work.
The other is telling me:
