Solved my own problem -

Most other projects have "My Account" on the left side menu of the Home page. Pirates has a "Log on to My Account" link there. The link to "Yopur Account" is on the top left.

The Captain gets five free lashes with no screaming from me!

I have "stay logged in on this machine" selected. When I try to access my account, the bottom of the page tells me I'm logged in as the correct user, but the top of the login page requires me to enter my EMail and Password before the account Info is displayed.

They are still getting the Web Site set up ( http://orbit.psi.edu ) , and don't have any science apps ready yet, but Orbit@Home will map "minor planets" in the solar system

Can the Captain create a Pirates team there for the crew?

See http://pirates.vassar.edu/result.php?resultid=411675

I thought that Blender was the Executable for BURP. Why would Pirates jobs be reporting problems with Blender?

(This is on the new CC4.40 if it matters)

They were, but re-opened yesterday. The Project home page says that even on the new hardware, they can't keep up, and basically wait for things to settle down before complaining

No hardware is fast enough... Expect slow response times and timeouts until the first shockwave of incoming work requests has settled.

Are you thinking of creating a Pirates@Home team at LHC? They re-opened to the public Friday.

Right now, their hardware is ovewhelmed, but when things settle down...

Thought Stderr had more in it - sorry. Here's all that there was

2005-02-05 09:01:30 [Pirates@Home] Unrecoverable error for result wu_1107619403_325_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))

Don't have any Pirates WUs availalble on this machine, but I tried it again on an Einstein WU. Happened again there.

The error for the Einstein WU was "The instruction at 0x036621a referenced memory at 0x2522251a. The memory could not be read Click OK to terminate the program."

(Really hated to lose that second Einstein WU, dang it)

Sextand 4.69, CC 4.19 Win2kpro on P4/1.4

While running the GUI, I clikcked on "Display Graphics", looked at the display, then closed the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right corner,

The graphics window disappeared, and the WU immediately aborted

Details availabal on request

(The same thing happened with an Einstein WU, this morning. That's why I tried it with Pirates)

No problem, just reporting what I saw. Set them again, and they are sticking - so far [grin]
