Neither BOINC beta or Astropulse are currently operating. Astropulse has been gone for nearly a year.
There are rumors that Astropulse is gearing up again, and that BOINC beta might also be turned back on.

There is some need of putting things clear. I have seen that you talk of BOINC beta and Astropulse as two different entities. If you do not recall wrong from the beginning, when we attached to "both" Beta and Astropulse, the only code that we were given (long ID number)was from Astropulse and I (for example) received several units that were marked as Astropulse. After that, all of a sudden there were no more Astropulse units and we started getting the setiathome beta trial units which were accounted as BOINC Beta.
So, this said, I would like to have a more extended explanation as to which is which as both run under the same ID number that we were given and for which we were granted cobblestones -which we still have somewhere over there-
Ohh!, by the way, I continue on the bad luck side - not even a remote 3 seconds of work in Pirates. lol , lol

As for why the two projects on the single project ID, I can only guess. Perhaps BOINC wasn't yet up to the task of attaching to more than one project yet?
When AP stopped handing out WUs, it was mentioned on the beta boards that the project lead quit, or went on sabbatical or something. This leads me to believe that AP is a separate entity from S@H.
They must have been in the same building because they were sharing resources, (at least servers) and they use the same data, albeit for different reasons. And since the S@H beta project was called Astropulse for so long, (and as you mentioned, we had a single credit pool) it's obvious the projects are closely linked. But if AP had a seperate project head, it has to be a separate entity.

Of course we knew this, at least I have been able to communicate with the server.

This is the story with Pirates. I think they're actually testing deferrals. ;)
Since I attached, (nearly two months ago) I've seen a grand total of 3 WUs. The first crashed and burned. The second completed successfully, but was passed the deadline by the time BOINC got to it. The third says it was successful, yet took 0.00 CPU time to process. :)

Well, no problem - we are helping to see how their testing deferrals works ;-)
Keep busy with the other two - Seti and Climate - and ready for Predictor as soon as they switch to v4.
