I allways use BM 5.5.0 version and it's ok, but today i read a message from Pirates@Home project:

2007-01-03 19:51:01|Pirates@Home|Message from server: Your version of the BOINC core client (5.5.0) is disallowed.

Why it's disallowed?

Probably because it overclaims credits.

Probably because it overclaims credits.

Now if only all the other projects would adopt this policy.

Some have already done so, like HashClash.

I think SETI Beta needs something like this re optimized apps.

Which points to the main issue, IMO: not credit claims, but suitability for testing. IIANM this project’s apps are mainly ‘exercising’ the BOINC client in various ways, so I can see sense in requiring that to be a ‘known quantity’.
