We are testing new software on the server: Apache 2.2.4 and PHP 5.2.4. All seems to work well, but please report any problems, as there might be minor configuration issues I've not found yet. We will likely alternate between the old and new versions a bit before we stick with the new.

It's a lot quicker, I noticed. No more waiting for those buttons to load.

Kalessin wrote: Is this the explanation for the sometimes disabled Up/Downloadserver and the scheduler? I don't think so. I think that is due to the load on the database server, not the web server. But since I'm building new components from source, maybe it would help to build the latest database server and try that? ____________ -- Eric Myers "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -- William Butler Yeats

We've actually been alternating between Apache httpd 2.0.54 and 2.2.4 for a while now, but I've found some problems with memory allocation for PHP with the newer. I'm not sure how we'll deal with this, but it may mean further testing of various versions of the Apache software.
