Nice message, some project could need it too. But indeed a bad news for hosts, where it is not yet possible to compile new clients for.

No need to grab beta versions. I was thinking of using such thing arbitrarily, just to disable something really obsolete. Like e.g. Seti would announce enforcing at least Boinc 5.2.13 in say 90 days (because of flops counting).

(But this still can cause a portig problem on some platforms.)

Version 6.x anything is still BETA. I'm not sure I want to trust my 58 project involevements to NEW software. I have too much work to get dont to reach my goals.

Funny thing is that last week I got WU's from here and I was on 5.10.30 on my main PC.

The call went out to projects to test their apps with the 6.1.14 client, which the alpha crew are now testing. So I brought out the last version of lalanne we already ran to try it out, and I bumped the client requirement up to 6.1 so that they would get the work. After this run I'll bring it back down.
