Oh yes, and the turk page (as well as the whole site) looks normal in FF2 but pretty bad in IE6 (but that's a different issue)

Try View-> Text Size-> Smaller (or a larger screen resolution) for a better look to webpages in IE.

Other pages look fairly normal in IE6 on this computer. Even other BOINC forum pages. But the Pirates pages are huge.

It doesn't seem to be limited to the front page either. The forums are pretty bad as well.

Here's the dxdiag output for the computer (luckily it saves it in English).

I wouldn't rule out viruses or trojans or other crap on this computer. I don't know the last time Windows update was run and the AV subscription has expired. A few months ago, I cleaned off a ton of stuff from my thumb drive after putting it in here. It's so bad that I either bring a Ubuntu Live CD or my laptop to do my work.

If it would help I could screen shot the forums here and the forums at Einstein for comparison because obvious the front page here has been extensively modified or completely rewritten.

I don't see anything unexpected with Pirates on IE6, so I'm still leaning towards this being a browser text size issue.
I have noticed that many modern sites, for reasons unclear to me, use a fixed text size that can't be altered by a browser. This is the case with most of the text on many BOINC project sites and forums, but not here. Maybe because of Pirates' custom css.

Is the option to change text size available to you in the IE6 you have there or is that option grayed out?

If you do have the option to change text size, try it here and then head over to Einstein for example, and you'll hopefully see much difference in text size here, but no change to most of the text there. I personally prefer the way it works on this site.

Honestly it would be hard for me to figure out. I'm not very familiar with IE6 and because it's a Korean XP install, IE is in Korean. When I installed FF I installed the English version on purpose.

As long as it's not showing up strange for everyone else, then I wouldn't worry about it. I just thought I'd log it for the record.
