Even thought I check the \"status of the server and there are wu\'s available and the schedulers are running I get this message:

Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 17:23:22 - Sending request to scheduler: http://pirates.vassar.edu/cgi-bin/scheduler
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 17:23:27 - Scheduler RPC to http://pirates.vassar.edu/cgi-bin/scheduler failed
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 17:23:27 - No schedulers responded
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 17:23:27 - Deferring communication with project for 2 hours, 16 minutes, and 24 seconds

Can anyone help me here, I wouldn\'t have a clue as to why it won\'t download any wu\'s.
I\'ve had 1 since I joined which I think may have been too small to receive any credit but its just a little annoying that its not downloading even 1 wu (running boinc 4.13 btw)

I have a similar problem. The status page indicates a small number of WU's are available, but when I try to get one, I get the following message sequence:

Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:15 - Requesting 47305 seconds of work
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:15 - Sending request to scheduler: http://pirates.vassar.edu/cgi-bin/scheduler
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:18 - Scheduler RPC to http://pirates.vassar.edu/cgi-bin/scheduler succeeded
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:18 - Message from server: No work available (there was work for other platforms)
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:18 - No work from project
Pirates@Home - 2004-10-16 14:15:18 - Deferring communication with project for 1 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds

Perhaps a better granularity in the "Ready to send" portion of the "Database status" display would be appropriate; a display of WU's available by platform. If the system knows that no work is available for my platform, it should be able to display the amount of work available by platform.

Cheers,

Stephen

Please read the main page message:
Pirates@Home is always under development, so please don't expect it to work all the time. In fact, right now we have very little work, just occasional tests.

We are all receiving exactly the same message, just be patient and an occasional unit will pop up.

Liberto,

I've read the front page, thank you very much.

All I am suggesting is that the WU count should be broken out by platform. If I can receive a message from the server that no work is available for my platform, but that work is available for other platforms, displaying the count of available work by platform should be a relatively easy operation.

Yeah, sure. I've not received a single WU since I signed up for this project, over 6 weeks.

Cheers,

Stephen
