It appears that the WUs have a max cpu time, will this be featured in the real units? If so, what will happen to the data crunched?

A few workunits got out with low limits, but that has been corrected.
We saw it when it happened, but thanks for mentioning it.

All workunits have a maximum FPop limit, but obviously we don't want
that too low.

Just had one of those errors too (not at Pirates).

The max. CPU time depends much on the benchmark, which was way too high on my box at that time.

If one CPU is really busy on a dual machine (e.g. rendering stuff, file compression), the bechmark can shoot up by factor 2 or even 3. I already had 5.000 / 18.000 on a dual MP 2600+

The max. CPU time seems to be calculated from a value that comes from the application divided by the FP value from the benchmark.

If the FP value has been calculated way too high in the benchmark, it might not allow the WU to finish. It assumes that there must be some problem as the calculated limit has been exceeded.

The problem can be fixed in those cases by manually repeating the benchmark while the machine is not so heavily loaded.
