That's because when you aren't logged in, you aren't using the cookie. So how should your browser know what preferences you set for that forum? | |

Just noticed this. Good catch. Thanks. I noticed this behaviour last week when using a public terminal, but I did not figure out that it was due to not being logged in. I've just found and changed the place where this default is set. If you are not logged in then it assumes a default ordering. If you are logged in then the order you select from the pulldown at the top of the page is saved in a cookie.
