As tasks are rare, it is depressing when most fail because of "Download Failed" ... I don't know the cause, but multiple systems ...

Two of my three active windows machines have the same problem.
Windows XP, Boinc client 6.2.14 : download fails
Windows Vista 1, Boinc client 6.6.20 : download fails
Windows Vista 2, Boinc client 6.6.20 : download OK

This should now be fixed. Please let me know if you still have download problems.

Here is what happened. I had set the app version for cube to a minimum of 6.04 for the last round of testing. There is only a linux version for 6.04, not Windows or Mac. So the project apparantly deleted those executable from the download directory. I set the minimum down to 6.03 and restored the executables to the download directory.

I was just letting out work to stir up some activity -- to "light up" the cluster. But we got a little more out of the bargain. My apologies to all who were affected, and my thanks to all who reported the problem. Argh.

Guh. Trying to do the time translation to UTC always makes my brain hurt. When is "now"? I am posting this to see the time difference between now and your post.

Edit: Ah, 2:42 ago. So about 6:20 PDT. Okay, so the failed download I found may have been from before that. I will try d/l again.

Same problem here. I do get WUs on my Macs (very rarely, but they download and finish o.k.). However, on my Windows XP machine I only receive failed downloads.
